Below you will find the district expectations for the remainder of the school year. PreK is not included in the right hand column, but we will use the Kindergarten expectations as a guideline 🙂. It is what most of you were already doing!

Starting April 6th through the end of the school year:
Students are expected to engage in a minimum of 5 educational activities throughout the week (one per day - please include at least one literacy and math activity each week). Students are expected to communicate to their teacher which activities they completed every week.

Which educational activities count?
- Any activity from the weekly choice boards. We send out different activities each day to help you keep your child engaged as you see fit. You are welcome to use any of the activities from any day to complete the five that are required.
- Any age appropriate play based activity that engages your child in math, literacy, science, social studies, gross/fine motor skills or social emotional development. - Online resources that have been provided.
- Family board games!
- Reading a story to your child.
- Letting your child read a story to you (emergent readers, memorized reading, telling a story based on the illustrations)
- Any of the digital resources available (EPIC / Storyonline / Story time with Mrs. Reynolds, Ms. Butler, Miss Saussy, or Mrs. Huber.)
- Post pictures/videos on ClassTag (main page or in messenger) of your child engaging in the activity
- Send a picture of your child's completed work (via ClassTag, email, text)
- Take a picture of the choice board indicating which activities you completed
- Send me a note/email/text describing the activities you completed
- Assignments can be submitted daily / weekly (whatever works for your family)
Minor changes:
- Choice boards will now have the standards listed.
- Please contact the teacher directly to find out when she has virtual office hours.
